DECATUR

I started tecahing in Decatur in 2000.

I have been here for 19 years.

I am the Art Teacher K-4 and High School

I have been teaching for 25 years.

My 1^st year teaching art was in a small school down in the Delta.

I taught k-12 in a trailer with no heat or running water.  I hauled water to my classroom every day.

I then taught at Bentonville High School for two years until moving to Decatur.

I like the smaller school setting in comparison to the larger schools.

I am married to a wonderful man.  We meet through an old fashion match maker.

We were both 40 when we were married and neither one of us had ever been marred before or had any children.

We are like two peas in a pod.  We were never blessed with children.  I have one cats.  Topaz is a black and white and is a very starnge cat.  She will give you hugs among other things.  Just ask me about her.

I love what I do!  Teaching is my life.  I love making cards for my family and friends.  I make birthday, anniversary and holiday cards.  I also work in clay and glazing my spare time.  In the winter months I spend my spare time sewing crazy quilt jackets and teaching my self to quilt.  I enjoy going to Crystal Bridges and seeing their new exhibits.
