Education

Educational History:

I am a graduate of Dollarway High School, the former home of the Cardinals in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After high school i played college basketball.

I have a bachelors degree from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (2004)

I have a Masters degree from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (2016)

Current Position:

I started at Decatur Schools in 2018. I left for the 20-21 school year but returned a year later. I have been with the district for a total of 5 years.

I am the Head Junior and Senior High girls’ basketball teams. I am also the Head Cross Country Coach. This year i will be taking on the Co-Athletic Director duties.

I teach high school and middle school physical education.

Family Information:

I have been married to Kamra Elizabeth Mays Thompson since 2015.  We have 9 children and 2 dogs. My son Konnor graduated from Decatur in 2021.

I have a Chow Chow named Kamress and a lab named Jersey Diamond.

When i am not teaching i like to read books and play video games.
