DECATUR

  I am currently teaching 5/6 grade English. I have taught English at Decatur Middle School for two years.

Recently, I have taught Social Studies at Decatur for the past 5 years. 

I previously taught 1^st grade for two years at Lubbock Christian Schools in Lubbock, TX.

Prior to my full time teaching positions, I was a reading interventionist for 16 years in the Lubbock Independent School District. I helped students in K-6^th grades to better their reading skills. I also was a part-time teacher for Sylvan Learning-two years in Lubbock, TX and 3 years in Rogers, AR. 

I am married to my college sweetheart for 38 years. We have two children, boy-30 and girl-26 years old. We presently have two golden retrievers, Abilene and Lawrence. Mr. Kight and I lived in Lubbock, Tx for 34 years. We moved to the NWA area in the Fall of 2015 to be closer to family. We love living in the NWA area.

My hobbies when I am not teaching are going for walks, spending time with my family and dogs. We love watching sports together. I am also involved in my local community church. My favorite food is Mexican food. My favorite drink is unsweet tea.
