Greetings! My name is Danette Baker. I moved to NWA when I was going into the seventh grade and graduated from Rogers High School class of ‘92. I worked as a Director for Youth Ministries for several years at a church in Bella Vista before returning to school to complete my degrees. I graduated magna cum laude with my Associate of Arts degree from NWACC in 2014. Then, I attended and graduated in 2016 from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Childhood Education with a focus area in STEM Education. I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching from Harding University in 2018. In Texas where I taught, I was a SeaPerch underwater robotics co-coach for a couple years. I look forward to moving up to be teaching high school math and getting to know everyone here in Decatur!

I have been married to my husband for twenty-nine years and we have four children ranging from twelve to twenty-eight years old. Our oldest two daughters are grown and married while we still have two children at home. Our family has four kitties: Oliver, Kai, Jack, and Pete.
My family and I love to camp (not in hot weather), travel to the beach, have friends over to swim, ride the gocart around our land, and cheer on the Razorbacks! I also love to read books!
